Hi, I was asked how security can be used to improve VBR11. I've read how Veeam can improve this with a Linux repository "hardnening repository". Also that there is a possibility for the "normal" Windows Server with VeeamBlocky. What software is needed and what restrictions there are, I haven't seen anywhere, not even about the costs. Has anyone already had experience there?
Thank you for a reply!

Re: Securing Repository
VeeamBlocky is a third party product. Not from Veeam.
You should ask them directly what is needed and how it works.
For Linux hardened Repo, you can find more information here. You need a linux machine (physical would be best for a hardenee repo).

Re: Securing Repository
Please note that Blocky does not add the level of protection comparable with a Hardened Repository, because if backup server is compromised then a hacker will be able to extract the saved repository server credentials with administrative privileges, which will subsequently allow them to uninstall Blocky.
