Hi guys,
I am looking for best practices for configuring Backup Server with the local storage as repository. The server is currently a member of the domain, which of course is not secure in certain situations. The customer asked me to change this and make more secure.
1st thing I have to do, leave the domain, then working with local user and specified access to the repository.
Is there more important steps which you can recomend?
Thank you
kind regards from Germany

Re: Security for Physical Veeam B&R Server, with local storage as repository
Hello!
I'd recommend to encrypt data in backups following encryption best practices and to restrict inbound connectivity to backup server from the Internet.
You may take a look at this article on our help center to know more about security considerations.
Thanks!
