Hi,
I've had a bit of a disaster with a RAID puncture and lost the .VBK for one of our Backup Copy Jobs. I have a recent Synthetic Full on tape, can this be used to re-seed the BCJ?
I realise that I'd probably lose the incremental restore points in the BCJ but that's better than havng to start from scratch, the source repo is in a datacentre so it's a bit of a pain to get a new seed and with it being 2 TB it would take a while over the WAN.
Cheers
David

Re: Seed Backup Copy Job from Synthetic Full on tape?
Hi David,
you can use Full backup or Full+increments for seeding.
Note that seeding works for backup copy and replication jobs, not for backup to tape.
