Hi Fabian,
I was in process of opening a new thread for the same feature request. We are deploying a new offsite appliance and want to pre-seed it with "some" older restore points synthesized from the actual backups since we don't yet have any other backup jobs we can use to manually copy the files.
Since there is no such feature "yet" what is Veeam's recommended process to achieve this goal?

Re: Seed backup files for Backup Copy
Hello
I moved your question to a new topic. I hope it is ok.
I assume you want to use this offsite appliance as a backup copy target. Backup files from a backup job cannot be mapped to a backup copy job.
Therefore a backup copy job chain is required to be able to seed your backup files to the offsite appliance.
We have documented the process in our user guide: https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/backu ... ml?ver=120
Best,
Fabian

Re: Seed backup files for Backup Copy
Hi @mildur,
I'm afraid you misunderstood my question. Indeed I did want to seed the data, but that wasn't my issue, I just used the word seed since it applies also to the real request.
I wanted to seed with "older" restore points and not only newest one like a regular backup copy does, exactly like what the thread I added my original note requested.
