Hallo Team,
We are planning to replicate 20 TB of data using Veeam B&R.
Since Veeam is not our main backup product, we cannot use in-built seeding
Are there any other ways we can seed this amount of data.
We are replicating within our LAN environment but to remote site just 1 KM away.
We are using EMC Networker.
What we tried is - restored VM from EMC Networker and pointed the seed to the restored Veeam.
It worked. Veeam did the digest and only replicated the last changes
But the question I have is - is it supported scenario. Is this the right way to do so.
Or there are any alternatives.
vCenter: 6.7
ESXi: vSphere 6.6 U3
Veeam B&R
Thanks,

Re: Seeding from another backup product
Yes, you can use any VM as a seed for replication jobs, including the ones restored from any sort of a backup.

Re: Seeding from another backup product
Not explicitly, but the restored VM is a regular VM so you can map the replication job to it.
