I am having the same issue here - but the account has MFA disabled
SMTP server: smtp.office365.com
Port: 587
When I send test message - Unable to connect to SMTP server because of invalid credentials or connection settings.

You should configure sending mails over Modern Authentication:

This new option is available in Veeam Backup & Replication v12.
