HI
I work for a service provider and we host multiple customers on our shared vmware environment. My problem is that I can not use VSS for backups, customers don't feel comfortable giving us user with admin rights in there environments.
What would my options be ? Lots of the customers have database servers and a few exchange servers.
Is veeam the right way to go in this type of environment or should I consider getting some "client based aplication" to do backups.

Re: Service Provider environment
Roburt, couple of option you have is to either use VMware VSS integration (a component of VMware Tools), or VMware pre-freeze/post-thaw scripts (this will work for Linux VMs too). We have a number of existing threads on forums discussing these technologies and how they compare to Veeam VSS, you can refer to them for more information.
