Setup failed
Hello,
until recently I was using the free version of the Agent for Windows to Backup a single 2019 server in full.
Now we wanted to upgrade to a more comprehensive version, by trying out the Backup & Replication CE before buying.
Unfortunately we can't even install, setup repeatedly fails with an for me uncomprehensible error.
Ticket ID: 04790275
We uninstalled the Agent for Windows version, still to no avail...
Any idea what's going on?
I can provide the install-log of course...

Hi Xamoel,
Last reply from support system on said ticket was rejected by your target mail server with "550 Requested action not taken: mailbox unavailable".
Please:
- check your mail server
- upload entire C:\ProgramData\Veeam\Setup zipped to the case under my.veeam.com

I did, for me it seems to work fine, I can receive and send messages fine?
I zipped and upped the "Setup" folder, though there is only one subdir, "Temp" with a bunch of files.

Did you receive an auto reply from support ticketing system?
Mails are being rejected by target server, so it must be filtering on your server side.

Just added a comment to test the email, it arrived a second later.

Well nothing, as they closed the case due to high volume of requests.
Of course that's understandable, though it makes me turn to the competition since I'm not going to pay for a product I can't even install...

That happens and you can always try to re-open the case later.
As far as I can see from your case's logs, setup fails on "Installing Prerequisites" stage with system exception received from Windows.
It is worth double-checking if system used for VBR Server meets B&R System Requirements list(note that you can pre-install required components manually, outside Veeam products, to see which one fails).
