Several Veeam Services using Port 6320

Post by dr.action »

Dear NC,
several Veeam Services using Port 6320. VeeamHvIntegrationSvc.exe, Veeam.Guest.Interaction.Proxy.exe and sometimes VeeamGateSvc.exe.
Port 6320 ist an officially reserved Port by DoubleTake.
How can i avoid Veeam Services to use this Port?

Hi dr.action,

Can you elaborate why you are referring to 6320? I made a quick run across system requirements looking for the components you mentioned:

6163 is used for Veeam Hyper-V Integration Service
6190 and 6290 are used for Guest Interaction Proxy
6180 is used by Cloud Gateway Service

netstat -a -b shows:
[Veeam.Guest.Interaction.Proxy.exe] TCP 0.0.0.0:6320

Hi dr.action,

I had a conversation with QA team and they confirmed that this port is not used by our services. If it’s possible, please submit a support case and let me know the case ID, so I could share it with the QA folks. They are interested in your case, so probably setup a WebEx meeting to investigate this issue.

Make sure you read the output of netstat correctly. It is usually IP:PORT first, service next.

So if you copypasted the string in your previous post from the netstat directly, it means that the port 6320 is taken by the next service listed.
What's the next service in the list when you type netstat -nba?
