Hi
We have a 8.0 environment where we are trying to install the share point explorer "stage" SQL server and since we are using 2008R2 on the production B&R server but our share point environment is using SQL 2012 we tried to install a "remote" SQL stage 2012 instance since it must be same level or higher but are getting all kinds of errors ( have setuped right account / permissions on the service / DB account ) .
According to the documentation it seems like the stage SQL server must reside locally on the B&R server , is that correct or can it be installed remotely first of all so we aren't trying something that aren't even supported . Or should we install SQL 2012 on the B&R server ( extra license ? )
Regards
Patrik

Re: Sharepoint explorer installation
Patrik, you're correct, currently staging SQL Server for Veeam Explorer for SharePoint should run on the same machine where Veeam Explorer for SharePoint itself is installed. Remote staging SQL Server support is still in development.
