Hi,
I'm preparing to do an active full because I believe my VBK has unused space in it which is keeping the file size large.
From reading other threads on this topic I'm fairly certain I should wipe the free space on each drive using sdelete but I've read elsewhere that defragging before wiping is also useful. I don't quite see how the defrag would help with regards to VBK size and if anything it would seem to just put unnecessary load on the storage.
Thanks.

Re: Should I defrag and wipe free space before Active Full?
Hi Chris - yes, there are good things to do before active full. You are right that defrag will not help with VBK size, however it may help with further incremental backups size. Thanks!
