Hi,
Is it a good idea to put the Veaam B&R server and the Enterprise Manager server into one machine? We only have one VBR server, and we are thinking to just install the VBR server and the VEM server into the same machine. Is this a good practice?
Thanks

Re: Single Server for VBR and VEM - Best Practice
Hello,
it depends on your setup / requirements.
In most cases, the recommendation is to separate Enterprise Manager from the backup server. The reason is, that most customers have the backup server outside the production domain. But Enterprise Manager self-service is easiest to configure, if it's production domain-joined (the alternative would be SAML). Having the lost password protection on a different system is an argument, for having Enterprise Manager separated.
Best regards,
Hannes
