SLOOOOW BACKUP
I'm getting extremely slow backups ranging from 3MB/s to 10MB/s. Replica's SCREAM at up to 1GB/s since they're all incrementals. Its really only the full backups that take really really long time spanning over a weekend and spilling into the work week. The incremental backups range from 10MB/s to 140MB/s which I can live with. I've tested with turning compression off and that looks like it helped just a smidgen.
I am doing Network mode using vStorage API with no encryption. Destination is a remote file server but I've tested backing it up to fast disk locally with no discernible difference in speed. My backup machine is a physical DL380 with quad proc.
Any advice on getting better throughput?

Re: SLOOOOW BACKUP
Hi Richard,
It sounds like the performance bottleneck may be related to a source storage. Could you please try to copy/download some big file using vSphere Client > Datastore Browser? What figures do you get?
Thank you!

Re: SLOOOOW BACKUP
Downloading directly from the datastore using the vSPhere client I get 25-30MB/s.

Re: SLOOOOW BACKUP
Could you please tell us if you see slow backup speed on particular VMs or on all of them? I suggest that you contact our support team directly, as it is hard to troubleshoot the performance issue without seeing the full logs and live environment.
