slow data transfer

I just purchased veeam and have it up and running. I have it installed inside my vmware esx server. I set the backups to go to a iscsi san that resides on the same switch as the vmware server. My processing rate is 3MB/s and is says that my bottleneck is the network.

My current infrastructure looks like this. 2 esx servers that are plugged into a HP procuve switch. My datastores are located on a dell equallogics iscsi san. The new San that I just got is iscsi too. All of these devices reside in the same room and on the same switch.

What can I do to increase the speed.

Could you please tell me if you have our latest patch set (#3) applied? What is your backup repository?
