Slownest during backup
Hello,
I would like to ask you help with one case. We have one use case where was restoration entire VM restore to new location and it seems that recovecry time was more than 20 hours for 230 GB. (real speed 10 GB per hour approximatelly 3MB/s). It is 11 GB per hour.
Is it normal behaviour or is anything what we can improve?
Thank you in advance
Br. Vaclav Sedlacik

Re: Slownest during backup
What was the reported bottleneck for the restore job? Did you check the logs of the restore job to see what it shows?

Re: Slownest during backup
There is that, but also, in the status window, you should see what Veeam thinks is the bottleneck. Also, the logs I am referring to are under C:\ProgramData\Veeam\Backup -- in here, there is a folder with the job name and log files you can check.

Hi Václav
I suggest to open a support case. Analyzing performance issues over the forum is not effective.
Our support team has the right tools to analyze the debug logs and tell you exactly what's the reason for the slow restore performance.
Thanks,
Fabian
