SMTP - The operation has timed out

Hi,

I am a new customer of veeam and I would like to configure the email notification.

I tried
- to configure the smtp with different smtp server and I have always the same error message : The operation has timed out
- to disable antivirus and firewall

What can I do ?

Hello Eric,

Did you enable SSL security option when you tried to send an email? Based on the error it does seem like a firewall either on the backup server or on the gateway to your mail server.

Thanks, the solution is the port 587 with ssl for smtp.gmail.com
