Snapshots before installing updates

Hi There,

I need a method to guarantee rollback if something goes wrong after deploying updates to my production environment vms.

At the moment, daily backups are being done, but i dont actively monitor does ones so, I am looking for an extra security layer when doing the updates.
i have dev, test and prod environments , I have read that veeam is capable of doing snapshots, do this snapshots prevent the regular backups from being done?

What is the best way to test and guaratee rollback in case of incident? My environmet uses mainly win server 2008R2, 2012R2 and 2016

and welcome to the forums.

Our Quick Backup is the better alternative to VMware snapshots. If you install the VCenter plugin, then you can run it directly from VCenter web interface
