Sorting list of machines saved by Dimension
In Backup -> Disk, if I open the properties of a Job, in the Server List (Objects) I've the list of the various saved machines.
Here I've the possibility to sort by machine name or "Original Size".
Unfortunately the ordering by size is a bit useless because it is done by first using the first digit, then the second, then the third and so on.
In fact I find that 0.97 TB is as first, then 1.04TB, 1.12 TB third, 10.0 GB quarter, 100 GB, 180 GB, 19.1 GB, 20.3 GB, 200 GB, 24 GB, ... 92.0 GB as last.
Known problem? Is it your intention to improve this arrangement in the future?
Thanks in advance for your reply
Kind regards

Re: Sorting list of machines saved by Dimension
I was not able to reproduce this behavior. Could you please try to restart B&R console and raise a support case if it does not resolve the issue?
Thanks
Thanks

Re: Sorting list of machines saved by Dimension
I've restarted the console few times, on the server and my computer too.
I could even restart the server, or just the services, but right now it's still running later this month (problem with one of the jobs that puts the data on Tape). When it's finished, I'll be able to do it, but I don't think I can succeed before Monday.
However, nothing urgent.
Thanks for the moment.

Re: Sorting list of machines saved by Dimension
So it happens on two independent consoles. Good to know.
Could you please also try rescanning the repository that serves as a target for that backup job?
At this moment I'd recommend you to raise a support request in parallel since we are not sure whether server restart will help (I still think it's a good idea, but don't want to interrupt its operation without confidence).
Thank you

yes, true... with both console. here another example from the server (the other was from my computer)
I've done a Rescan of the Repositories before your reply, but as you can seen the "problem" continues to exist.
OK, I'll open a case and I'll give you the number
Thanks a lot.

Dear Gianluca,
In the meanwhile, I've asked our QA team to try to reproduce it. If it turns out that there is an issue on the B&R end (there is a chance ) we'll surely take care of it.
Thanks

Hi Lucio,
Thanks for reporting!
It has appeared that it is a known issue and we'll try to fix it in the next B&R versions (no ETA yet!). Btw, are you on 9.5 update 4a?
Thank you
