Spectrum Scale - GPFS Support

Hi

Is there any way to back up and restore GPFS filesystem? IBM Spectrum Virtualize supported v10. Any chance to support GPFS for upcoming releases?

Not in v10. Butby design of GPFS anyway more than one server is involved.

What you an do today is to use U-AIR ... Veeam Universal Restore (or Universal application item restore).
Create an application group with all GPFS Servers in there (and potentially other needed systems like DNS and directory server?).
Create a surebackup Job and select the application group. Check the option to let the application group online.

That way you can start the Surebackup Job (actual or point in time/backup) and your GPFS cluster is booted in the lab. From Backup & Replication Server or from a Universal Restore client you can access the lab GPFS and the production and can use all kind of copy commands (or export import) for restore.
