1. Customer is using Veeam for instant-backup down to 15 min for his SQL-server, this is working excelent. this truncates the SQL-Logs
2. Actual question is that he wants log shipping to another SQL-server so he can create reports on that server, how can this be solved when the logs are already truncated?
3. Is question 2 possible or any tips how to make this work.

Re: SQL-Log shipping
Lars, if I'm getting you right, you want to be able to replay logs on another SQL Server, right? For that you need to disable logs processing in Veeam B&R and use native tools (SQL Management Studio) to backup logs.larkrist wrote:2. Re: SQL-Log shipping
Has anyone revisited this and found other solutions? We would like to maintain the backups in Veeam but also not break sync in a log shipping arrangement.

Re: SQL-Log shipping
As mentioned above, you need to configure Veeam B&R to not touch transaction logs during backup. For that, select the 'Perform copy only' option in the job settings.
