SQL Period SQL Transaction Log Behaviour If Veeam Rebooted

Post by GarethUK »

Hi,

Does anyone know what the behaviour of Veeam period transaction log backups for MSSQL is supposed to be when the Veeam server or services are restarted.

Should the SQL transaction logs backup start again and continue or should it just stop until the next full backup of the parent job starts?

Regards,

Gareth

If you disable and reenable backup job, or restart service, or reboot VBR server then your log copy job will start backing up SQL log immediately, even in case it had already backed up logs just before you shut the service down.

Thank you.
