SQL Transaction Log Backups

Hello,
I‘d like to move from our sql server backup to the integrated Veeam solution with log shipping. How does the transactions log job works together with backup copy and tape jobs? Are these logs part of those secondary jobs if the sql server VM is part of the jobs?

Hello RH

- Immediate backup copy jobs can copy transaction log files.
- A File to Tape job can write transaction log backups together with the backup chain to a tape.
- A Backup to Tape job doesn't support transaction log backups.

that's not very comfortable as I need a file to tape job which is outside of our regular GFS tape job. Maybe my request is not so common to backup the transaction logs to tape?

Microsoft SQL Server log files, Oracle log files and PostgreSQL log files (VLB) are skipped from processing.
