SQL Transactionlog Backup

Post by Reklov »

Hi,

I'm running a SQL Transactionlog Backup all 15 Minutes.
Now I' receiving the following Error:
Application metadata collected during backup contains invalid ID for SQL database <Schema>\<Database>
I have searched for it, but I can't find something about it.
So I stopped the Backup, delete all saved Transactionlogs from Disk, made a Full Backup an start the SQL Transactionlog Backup again.
Unfortunally the Error came up again.

Does somebody has any Idea ?

Volker

Hi,

It's worth contacting support team directly as it seems that the actual DB ID does not match the ID that has been saved into Veeam database. Please don't forget to post your case ID.

Thanks

How can i check what ID veeam is collecting for the databases that it is supposed to be backing up? I am getting the same error and i am unable to find anything online that can lead me to a solution. Any assistance would be appreciated.

This ID is databaseId from the backupset table. Most likely Veeam B&R was not able to fill that table due to lack of permissions. Please check if you have properly set all the required permissions.

The login being used had sysadmin rights on the instance when we received this error message so im pretty sure its not permissions, could it be anything else?

It's not just permissions, but security policies as well. But if you've checked everything and it looks ok, feel free to contact support for further investigation.

Alex1983 hasn't logged on to the forums since August, so I suppose contacting support would be a better idea than waiting for his reply.
