This may be a stupid question, but where do I find the standalone restore utility? TIA.

Larry, it is called extract.exe and is located in the Veeam Backup installation folder. You can find more information about it starting from page 86 in the User Guide. Thank you.

Yep, just put the utility on tape (or whatever external storage you are storing your backups to), and you will be able to restore your backups even in 100 years from now
