Steps to revert to 4.1?

Post by mcwill »

I've been advised by support that the .vbk naming fix may not be in 5.0.1 so I have no alternative but to revert to 4.1 for now.

Has anyone done this, any problems to look out for?

Is it just a case of uninstalling 5.0 and installing 4.1 - do I have to worry about the SQL instance or database?

Thanks for any pointers.

Hi Iain, unfortunately downgrade is not supported - you cannot reuse existing v5 database with v4. Databases are very different. Thus, you need to deploy brand new v4 install and create new jobs. Thanks!
