Storage as a service

Post by toreml »

Hi.

We are in discussion with a customer to provide them with storage for their BCJ at our site - over a dedicated WAN link.
This will be local storage - and not cloud storage.

Should we use Wan accelerator?
And which requirements must be fulfilled to enable this?

We are both using Veeam 9,5 update 4 - not 100% sure which Edition of Veeam the customer are using.
We are using Enterprise plus

Regards

Hi Tore!

- your service offering "Veeam" name is Veeam Cloud Connect(Backup Repository as a Service type).
- using WAN Acceleration is a good idea, as it will reduce network traffic between sites. To use it, Customer shall have at least Enterprise Edition.

It will be best to discuss whole service offering scenario with Veeam Cloud Services representative, which shall contact you soon.
/Cheers!
