Storing only a single weekly backup

Post by khughes »

Just starting to test out Veeam B/R, and until we bring in our new SAN I'm working with a fairly small storage location for our backups. It's basically big enough to store one full and a weeks worth of incrementals. I was wondering what the setup would be / if it's possible to have it overwrite or create new Full backups lets say every saturday and do incremental backups the rest of the days?

Thanks

Hello Kyle,

If you can store only 1 full backup at any point of time, then I would suggest using reversed incremental backup mode. Please take a look at our sticky sticky F.A.Q. topic for more details on backup modes available.

Thank you.

Or, alternatively, incremental backup mode with transform enabled. Whichever you prefer based on pros and cons from the FAQ!
