Suppress warning of 255 maximum possible storage snapshots on Netapp storage systems

Hi all

Netapp changed the maximum amount of possible storage snapshots from 255 to 1024 for the current ONTAP releases. I have a SnapVault destination configured for my backup jobs and now I always get the warning: There are 301 storage snapshots out of 255 maximum possible on volume <volumename>. Is it possible to suppress this warning until Veeam has implemented the new threshold in VBR?

the issue will be fixed in V10

NetAppSnapshotsThreshold should do the job. Just set it to 1024

Right, we've actually raised the limit for NetApp up to 1000 snapshots in one of the previous updates, however, forgot to update the warning threshold.

Thanks for the answers. Do I understand that right, that we can't suppress this warning in current VBR release (9.5u4) and have to wait for v10?

the other way round: you can fix it before V10 with the key above.

For V10 we will raise the warning limit

Do you mean a registry key with this NetAppSnapshotsThreshold?
Is this a DWORD in the path HKLM\SOFTWARE\Veeam\Veeam Backup and Replication?
