Sure Backup - DC booting in to DSRM (Support case# 00592375)
When using SureBackup with a domain controller the DC is booted in to DSRM which means some of the SureBackup tests fail. If I manually reboot the DC in to normal mode during SureBackup then the tests complete successfully. Has anyone come across this issue? How do I stop the DC booting in to DSRM when using SureBackup?
Version 7.0 R4.
Many thanks
Matt

Hi Matt, not sure what do you see to be the issue here. DC must boot into DSRM for correct recovery, Veeam specifically orchestrates this to happen... if your SureBackup tests are failing, the reason must be different? Thanks.

Matthew, please also review this thread for details on DC recovery (including SureBackup).

Re: Sure Backup - DC booting in to DSRM (Support case# 00592
Hi Gostev, thanks for the info. If I let the SureBackup job run automatically then the DC stays in DSRM and then DNS and Global Catalog tests fail. If I reboot the DC in to normal mode whilst SureBackup is waiting to run the application tests then they complete ok. Should SureBackup reboot in to normal mode automatically or should the DNS and GC tests pass with the DC in DSRM?
Thanks Foggy, I'll read through that now.

Thanks both for the replies. Looks like I need to do a FRS to DFSR migration. I'll get that sorted, run another backup then give SureBackup another run.
Many thanks

Yes, DC should reboot into normal mode automatically. You can try to increase application initialization timeout and see whether this helps.
