I have a virtual lab setup at a remote site to test backups. The main Veeam server is located at another site. There is a backup proxy at the remote site where this virtual lab is.
Can I make Veeam use this backup proxy at the remote site to communicate and test surebackup jobs run on this virtual lab?
As I understand it, right now the main Veeam server tries to run script/ping the VMs on this virtual lab through the virtual lab proxy appliance but it has no paths to the masquerade IPs.

Re: Surebackup tests
Hello,
your understanding is correct. The only way to solve it is setting the masquerade IPs as routes in your physical network. The backup proxy cannot be used as proxy for communication.
Best regards,
Hanes

Re: Surebackup tests
Thanks.
My workaround was to disable all tests in Veeam so lab can load VMs and do manually at remote site.
