I can see in the 'What's New" document, that Veeam Data Movers now bypass the OS' own cache.
Is there a way we can toggle this setting to see what the impact is?
If not, is it possible to have such a key implemented, so the impact can be tested?
Thanks!

Re: System cache bypass - VBR 11
Hello,
there is a reg key since many years, yes. But it had side-effects before V11.
Can you maybe explain why customers would want to go with a slower system by changing that setting?
I'm not convinced to post the key in public as customers might implement it in pre-V11 versions. Can you maybe explain how and with which (test) hardware you want to test it? Because most test results I see are made under unreliable conditions.
Best regards,
Hannes

Re: System cache bypass - VBR 11
Actually, that registry key is still as untested as before V11... so currently it is best not to share even through support, as it may impact many features and functionality, as we already saw before.
Also after 25K V11 downloads as of today, we don't have a single report of performance decreasing with v11.
We tested the impact of v11 changes extensively both internally and with beta customers, so you don't have to worry about testing yourself. We never saw a negative impact, but we saw a few cases of no positive impact with performance remaining unchanged.

Re: System cache bypass - VBR 11
Fair enough, I wasn't suggesting you hadn't tested it, I was just curious to test the impact myself, but since you've done far more testing than I could, we'll leave it there.
Thanks!
Thanks!
