System Configuration Check requirements for SQL Server + SQL components do not detect installed SQL Server 2019 Express

Attempting to install Veeam BnRCE onto a Virtual Machine running Windows Server Standard 2019 with all available Windows Updates, MS SQL Server 2019 Express, CLR Types for SQL Server 2019, and Report Viewer Redistributable plus all of the other required dependencies. On the System Configuration Check page, the System CLR Types for SQL Server 2014, SQL Server 2014 Management Objects, and Report Viewer Redistributable 2015 fail the check.

Not sure how to proceed past that point as the button to proceed is disabled until all the checks pass. Does anyone have any suggestions or ideas that may help get past this?

You can try to install those components manually as described here. If that does not help, continue working with the support team - they should have a better understanding about the issue's root cause, once they are review setup logs. Thanks!

Thank you for the reply. I read through the posts but the issue between that post and mine aren't the same. The issue is not that I am unable to install the required components, but is instead that I shouldn't need to install them when I have a newer version of the MS SQL Server 2019 Express, CLR Types for SQL Server 2019, and Report Viewer Redistributable already installed.

I hope that clarified any misunderstandings. Do you happen to know of any other possible corrections?

This is normal as we support only specific SQL components that can be used independently from the used SQL server version. So you need to install them but keep your SQL Server version.

In the referenced post the experienced issue looks similar to yours - having newer version of the specific SQL components does not satisfy product setup requirements. And manual installation of the specific version of the component seems to have addressed it. Thanks!

In case anyone else is looking for a solution to this same problem: as Andreas Neufert pointed out, a specific version of MS SQL Server is required so I ended up having to install the MS SQL Server Express that came bundled with the Veeam BnRCE installer for the install to proceed.

Hi Craig,
I think you missunderstood me. We just need the software packages in the specific version. Not the whole SQL Server. You can find them as well at our ISO.
