The installation takes a long time
Hello.
I am installing the latest version of Veeam backup & replication on my Windows7 pro (22h2). But it has been taking so long time and now it seems to get stuck at "Step 7 of 8: Applying the latest update..." phase.
I am not sure if the stup is stull progressing. It has been spending an hour now.
Regards,

Re: The installation takes a long time
Hello, the speed of installation depends solely on your storage speed. I can't think of anything in the update installation process that can hang as it's just about copying over files, so please be patient and the installation should complete eventually. If not, feel free to open support case. Thanks

Re: The installation takes a long time
Hi Gostev,
Thanks for your feedback. Now, the setup has still been progressing. I have started setup around 10PM and now it is 7:30AM. The phase is still 4 of 8. I don't think this is normal setup process. Here is my environment.
1. OS->Windows7 Pro (22h2) and it is running on VM as a guest OS.
2. Storage ->SSD (NVme) and the other application setup should be fine.
I plan to use this as community edition, so I think that I can't raise the case right? Do you know where I can get log file so that I can upload the file on this forum.
Thank you for your help.

Re: The installation takes a long time
Hello.
I want to add this that the version 11.xxx had no issue during setup. The setup was done around 10-15 minutes.
Also, I found that the default DB of version 12 is postgress. Is this something with the issue??
Anybody gets the same or simlar issue for the latest version? I used 11 version before and I have gotten this kind of issue frist time.
Note: I uninstalled antivirus application completely and then am trying to setup. The PC has no application, I mean, there is only OS.

Re: The installation takes a long time
Normally it should take about 20 min, so I guess there's some issue with the machine itself. Maybe aggressive realtime scanning by an antivirus or something along these lines.
