I receive the error in subject when I try to do a backup copy from a backup job, but the VM has been deleted.

I opened a support case (#01860870): the answer is that tha original VM is necessary even for a backup copy job.

So Veeam, please consider to accept a change request, enabling the possibility to do a backup copy of a VM, even if removed from its original inventory.

Hmm, can you elaborate on your idea? The backup copy job is all about creating a secondary copy of a backup data, what is it supposed to create a copy of when primary one is no longer present? Thanks.
