ThreatHunter / Scan Backup no FLR mount -> manual FLR though works

We currently face the situation that ThreatHunter and "Scan Backup" (YARA, etc.) is not working for a customer.
Support is already involved for some time: #07539302.

It seems the initial FLR mount to the mount server is never taking place.
The job than times out with a misleading error message.

A manual FLR though works and mounts the very same VMs flawlessly to the mount server.
I could thus do the YARA scans manually from command line there.

looking into the case, it seems to be a firewall issue that the Veeam antivirus update server cannot be reached.
