Throttled not un-throttling when time
I have a periodic network rule setup to throttle bandwidth between the hours of 8AM to 5PM MON-FRI. I kicked off an active full, it ran full speed until 8AM came around the next day. I saw in the job stats update, "Network traffic throttling is enabled", I see the job is now slower, GREAT. Working as expected so far. Come 5:01 PM today the job is still throttled. Bottleneck shows "Throttling". Its now 8:33PM at the time of this post, still throttled. Other new jobs going to the same repo are not throttled that run at 8PM. Something isn't jiving. I don't have a ticket yet. Any clues ? This is V12 (12.1.1.56)

Re: Throttled not un-throttling when time
Hi kunimike,
Throttling (and unthrottling) kick in dynamically, so behavior does not look expected at first. I would first get to the most recent update and see if the behavior persists, and if so, a Support Case is the way to go.
A quick test with just enabling and disabling throttling (manually and with schedule) could not reproduce so it's best to let Support check the logs, but please try to reproduce on the most recent update first.

Ok sure thanks, Im deep in an active full at the moment. How does one manually enable and disable throttling?

You can just disable it on the rule itself, the throttling in jobs will be adjusted pretty much immediately. (Might take a few moments before it shows up in job statistics window with the job progress)

Hi, you mean I could just change the timeframe to always ENABLED? I could also change the throttled network traffic setting to some higher value I imagine.

Hi kubimike,
I mean to manually disable it, uncheck the checkbox on the traffic rule and save the edited rule. That will disable it, and you can re-enable it the same way.
You can configure it to always enabled, but as the question was about manually disabling, that's how to do it

Re: Throttled not un-throttling when time
Thanks I'll try that out and mentioned it to the tech that's going to take a look at my ticket. For reference its ticket 03271291. Let's see what the logs turn up. I made it clear up front I can't do a upgrade because of the jobs I have running. I did stop the Active full that wasn't unthrottling since it would have taken 20 days at a slower speed.
