throttling cannot be disabled in v8?

Post by robg »

I noticed something interesting in v8. When you uncheck "throttle network traffic" - as in to temporarily disable it, the OK button becomes greyed out. The only option is to enable encryption (which I don't want) - or to set the throttle value to some high number.

Rob, in order to temporarily disable the rule, you can select the 'During specified time periods only' option and disable the rule for the entire day.

I already have a schedule defined with differing week/weekday periods. I don't want to have to mess with that just to temporarily disable throttling.. Why is the OK box disabled now when the checkbox is removed? I don't recall this for v7.

This is probably just a UI bug caused by adding the new checkbox on this form.

I'd hope it's acknowledged and gets fixed :)

Definitely. In the nearest patch, most likely.
