Throttling
Does a job only look at the throttle setting when it begins? This would appear to be the case.. I have a large replication 1TB+ that could take a week to complete, it is throttled during business hours however it still says throttling at the bottleneck off-hours..

Re: Throttling
Hi Rob, should not be the case, as throttling rules are applied immediately when you change or adjust them. Can you please tell me what version/build number of Veeam B&R you're currently using?

Re: Throttling
Can you please update your installation to the most recent patch, as there were multiple fixes for throttling rules engine?

Re: Throttling
Please open a support case to make sure the patch has been installed properly (e.g. all proxies and repositories where upgraded). Thanks!

Re: Throttling
Well, it did say that those components were patched successfully as part of the install, but I'll see about the case.

Re: Throttling
Sounds good. It just looks like an issue that has been resolved in one of the patches.

Re: Throttling
Hello, I contacted support, and was informed that this is designed behavior..
That's too bad, I am hopeful that it can be improved upon in a future version.

Re: Throttling
Probably engineer just missed the fact that this specifically was addressed in the patch Vitaliy has referred to above:
I recommend escalating the case and review job debug logs, since this should work as you expect (unless there is another issue we're unaware of).• Network throttling rule does not apply if some job is already running at the time when the throttling period starts for the given rule.

Re: Throttling
There was a known issue that has been resolved in one of our patches for Throttling Rules only being checked at the start of the job. I believe patch 2 or 3 resolved this behavior.
