Tips to test a VM restore
Hi, I would need to perform restore tests using Veeam Backup & Replication.
Currently I have a Hyper-V Host (Hosta A) protected by a secondary Server (Host B) with Veeam B&R and with the the Hyper-V role installed but without any VM.
What is the recommended procedure if I want to perform restore tests using the production PCs?
I had thought of restoring some VMs on the same Host that performs the backups (Host B) and of redirecting some production machines through a linux gateway that separates the networks of the production VMs from those on which I would perform the restore.
What procedure do you recommend me to use?
Thank you.

Sounds like you are talking about SureBackup functionality.

Yes, I'm trying to simulate something like SureBackup.
Unfortunately I do not have the Enterprise license and I want to perform a SureBackup like test.
Is it possible?

Ah, got it. Of course, you can implement an isolated environment and do restores manually.

You can use instant vm recovery with disconnected Network.
