Tool for migrate socket to VUL
Good afternoon. I wanted to ask the community if there is a tool that allows me to size how many instances need to be licensed for a Veeam that is currently socket-lined and wants to switch to VUL.

Re: Tool for migrate socket to VUL
Hi Ser
The only public tool I'm aware of is our Pricing Calculator for small businesses. You can input the number of machines and other workloads you are currently protecting, and it will provide you with the number of VULs you will need: https://www.veeam.com/solutions/small-b ... lator.html
But i suggest to directly reach out to our sales team or your local resellers. They will be able to provide you with a license migration offer for the correct amount of workloads needed.
If I remember correctly from my time as a customer, Veeam's sales team (or the reseller) will typically ask you for the VMC.log file. This file contains information about the currently protected workloads and can be found at the following path: "C:\ProgramData\Veeam\Backup\Utils\VMC.log"
Best,
Fabian
