Tracking customers disk space usage
We have a problem which I assume everyone who sells veeam must have, there is no way to pre-determine any customers disk space usage, which could change from one month to the next, this makes it very hard to bill each customer. The best you can do is look at the size of their VM stats and charge them for that amount of space.
This is figure is also affected by retention period, compression etc. It will also change if they have a dynamic disk, or additional space is added to the vm.
So what we really need is a monthly report showing each customers current disk usage, so that their billing can be updated accordingly. Or better still a way to set a quota for each customer and get an alert if they exceed that quota.
How are others handling this ?

You can also take a look at Backup files growth report from the same URL Nikita has referenced above. Thanks!

Re: Tracking customers disk space usage
Hi,
Still a bit of confusion.
The report tells me only how much space used by each backup jobs.
As the backup jobs are incremental, this only tells me the incremental space used by that job, so i'm not sure how this is going to tell me the info I need, which is total space each client is using for their backups.
Can anyone enlighten me ?

Re: Tracking customers disk space usage
Backup billing report shows the space consumed by the entire backup chain at the given date including full and incremental backup size. Backup files growth also shows you the size of the entire backup chain. Let me know if that helps.
