[SQL Server] Transactionlogs Backup
Within one Job I backup a SQL Server and have the Guest processing/Enable application-aware processing/Applications/SQL Option enabled to "Backup logs periodically...."
This works fine, an continuos Job with the name by the Imagebackupjob is launched and is working.
I'm also have a Backupjob for backup an application Server ( Enterprise Vault ) with an SQL server. This Job has no scheduling configured, because it will be startet from a script by the Windows Scheduler. If I will ennable the same option as described above, VBR gives me the information that no schedul is configured, continue yes/no, my choice is yes.
No new transaction backup job will be launched. If the Imagebackupjob starts, no corresponding transaction job is launched also.
What can I do to get this thing going ?
Best regards
Volker

Settings of one job shouldn't affect operation of another job, so I recommend contacting support for a closer look at your setup.

I don't think this too, the question is ( an please forget the working job ) "is it possible to run a periodically Transactionlog Backup if the base Image Job isn't schedult ? ( the Imagejob starts scheduled by a Powershellscript ).

No, logs are not collected in case parent job is not scheduled.

I don't think this is possible. Unless you cheat with enabling job schedule prior triggering it from script and disabling it than back after.
