Hi.
We would like to buy Veeam to perform our backups. So i am looking for a NAS-Server to save the backups, but I am not sure about the required specification.
The NAS server which I prefer has the transport protocol FTP and SMB. Is it possible to do the backups with this protocols?
If not, what protocols must be supported by the server.
Regards,
Dominik

Re: Transport Protocol for NAS-Server
Hi Dominik,
There is no special requirement for a NAS device, SMB would work just fine.
BTW - If you search these forums, you'll see that we have lots of existing topics talking about best practices and recommended setup configurations, should be useful: External NAS Destination Stores and Best method to access NAS storage for backup performance?
Thanks!
