We are facing a strange issue with Veeam 7.
Two identical jobs (incremental with syntethic full and trasformation). One local on lan, the second one remote over WAN.
The first one has, as target, a Qnap. The second one a linux server that act as proxy connected to an identical Qnap.
The strange thing is that the first job take a huge amount of time to do the transform. The second one is extremely fast.
Can someone guess why this happens?

Hi Luca,
What kind of network connection do you have to a local QNAP device? Did you add it as a CIFS share?
Thanks!

CIFS is not considered a good target for backup jobs that are configured with transform option enabled as it is a very I/O intensive operation. Try mounting QNAP to a Windows/Linux server and add this server as a repository, as you have it in remote location.
