two proxies for two locations

Post by rbrinkmann »

Hi,

We currently have a local monolithic backup server at our main site.

We setup a DR site, see https://app.box.com/s/4edw5g8be4l8plr8lozth0t4qonx0q3b

So we will have two proxies, on at dr site and one at the main site.

The backup server will be located at the DR Site. Most VMs remain at the main site.

We only have one vcenter hosting all locations, see https://app.box.com/s/b5k94tl9f0jskpy9rjiqif61ckazqykg

How can i configure the proxies on the backup server, that the proxy at the DR site does handle NIC-RZ FFM and the other proxy does take care ofall other servers?

Regards
Ralf

Hello,
there are two ways

1) configure the proxy in the job settings
2) configure proxy affinity in the repository. proxy affinity is "best effort" and not a "hard rule" for the software.

Best regards,
Hannes
