Hi,
Is it possible to replicate and failover VMs which are from a remote location using a local instance of vCentre to a DR location using a different instance of vCentre? Assume that Veeam server is in the DR location and can see the remote and local vCentre's. If the remote site including it's vCentre died, can the DR instance of vCentre handle the failover and rollbacks OK? My question is based around a possible service provider model.
Thanks
Mark

Re: Two vCentre's and replica failover
Hello,
Replica failover does not depend on vCenter. To perform a failover you need to keep Veeam B&R database because all replicas' metadata is stored there.
So if I got your scenario right, it should work. Thanks!

Re: Two vCentre's and replica failover
Hi,
if your question relates to having TWO vcenter servers running as cluster at the same time you would need heartbeat, but i must warn you, it is VERY expensive

best regards,
Joerg
