Hello,
We are currently using VBR v12 to add Linux Server DAS as a backup repository. But error appeared when adding CentOS 8.2 server:
"
Host discovery failed
Refresh Linux host failed Error: Unexpected socket shutdown.
"
If the above process failed, VBR cannot list the disks and volumes then we are unable to create DAS repo.
However, in VBR v11 the same server was added successfully. The firewall in linux server was already disabled so it might not be a firewall-related problem.
Are there any changes in VBR v12 when adding the linux server?
Thanks

Re: Unable to collect hardware and disk info when adding linux server
Hello Artur
CentOs 8.2 (reached end of Life on December 31, 2021) is not supported anymore as a backup repository server in Veeam Backup & Replication V12. Please see our supported operating systems in our user guide:
https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/backu ... repository
If you see the same error in supported distributions, please open a support case and provide me with the case number.
Best,
Fabian
