Unable to perfom backup to external drive

Hello,
I ´m trying to perform a backup of some virtual machines to a USB drive attached to my workstation.
I have created a shared folder with full permisions.

\\MYPC\SHAREDFOLDER\

Whe I run the task I get this error:

Failed to create dir "\\MYPC\SHAREDFOLDER\"
Unable to find access route to "\\MYPC\SHAREDFOLDER\"

Any ideas?
