Unable to restore VM Tags in vCenter 5.5u3b Veeam 9.5.0.1038

Hi there,

I have noticed for a while that when I restore VMs the Tags do not restore with them:

Warning Failed to restore VM tags Details: Unable to find inventory service query service prefix: ''
Unable to find inventory service query service prefix: ''

Its been like this for a while and I have never been fussed about it, but I would like to dig into it and find out what the issue is. It sees the tags with in vCenter (when i restore a VM and Add VM I can view VMs by Tags), but whenever it comes to a restore it kicks back with that error. Apart from that the VM restores fine.

I am going to log a support call on Monday, but thought I would ask here first. My googling has failed me too heh

Hi Bilal, yes, it's recommended to open a case, since the issue hasn't been reported before.

The case is currently being investigated. Originally thought it would be permissions related, but regardless of what account we try be it AD/vsphere.local with admin rights at the VC level the issue persists
