Unable to upgrade from 11.0.0 -> 12.1.1
I'm trying to upgrade Veeam B&R CE from version 11.0.0.837 to version 12.1.1.56 (most recent release) I am able to mount the ISO and run it without issues. I can get the local account selected and select and connect to the needed instance/DB. Then the configuration check fails as it lists the install location as the mounted drive (with no space available)
It never gives an option to change the install path. I have replaced the ISO and tried again, with the same issue.

Re: Unable to upgrade from 11.0.0 -> 12.1.1
I believe you need to be on a newer release than v11 GA, which is that build, in order to upgrade to 12.1.1.56. I would upgrade to v11a and then go to 12.1 -- https://www.veeam.com/kb2680

Please raise a support case and share the case ID with us as this behavior is unexpected.
Thank you!

You can upgrade from 10a version of the product, so that should not be the case.I believe you need to be on a newer release than v11 GA, which is that build, in order to upgrade to 12.1.1.56
Thank you!

Thanks for confirming that, Dima. The upgrade page now does not show versions of the paths for upgrading, so I wanted to be sure.

It's here: https://www.veeam.com/kb4510
ISO — Use this if you are running any Veeam Backup & Replication version between 10a (10.0.1.4854) and 12 (12.0.0.1420 P20230718), to upgrade to the latest build of 12.1 (build 12.1.1.56). Remember to always review the Upgrade Checklist as part of your upgrade process.

Can you please also collect C:\ProgramData\Veeam\Setup\Temp logs and upload those to the support case? Thank you!

Done. I'm not sure which in particular is needed, yet I added all that updated the last time I ran the installer.

Re: Unable to upgrade from 11.0.0 -> 12.1.1
I couldn't wait to get the 21H2 support I needed, and updated to version 12.0.0. It seems to have completed without major issues. Hopefully they find a cause for the installer mess...

Re: Unable to upgrade from 11.0.0 -> 12.1.1
I had this exact issue.
Even though I had free space on my C:\ (roughly 10GB), it wasn't enough for the upgrade on C:\.
I ended up having to increase the size of C: to have 30GB free.
I think from memory it requires at least 20GB free to complete the upgrade. I did see a message somewhere saying how much they wanted free on C:\.
Once the upgrade is complete, the available disk on C:\ doesn't matter as much.
